Public Open Days
Hadlow Tower will be open to the public for 28 days in 2019 by way of pre-booked guided tours.
Please only visit Hadlow Tower on a booked tour and do not enter the gates unescorted.
The property is a private home within private shared gardens, which are home to a number of families.
(Please note the viewing platform is approximately 40m above the ground and it can be very windy and much colder than at street level)
Your tour will include a trip to the viewing platform. On the way, you will be able to read information boards detailing the history of Hadlow Castle and the restoration of the Tower. There is a climb of approximately 200 steps to the viewing platform at the base of the lantern.
There will be tours run throughout the day, subject to demand. When you book you will only see earlier tours if there is no current demand for that day. We reserve the right to cancel any tours where 5 or fewer people book, so please book the earliest available slot to avoid disappointment. If we do cancel a tour, you will be offered a choice of other dates or times at no further cost.
You will be met at the Castle Gate at your tour start time and escorted through the gardens. These gardens are private and do not belong to the Tower. If you are late, we regret that you will miss your tour as we are not permitted to allow you to enter the gardens unescorted. Please can you respect the residents surrounding the Tower and honour this.
